The 2010 Sarasota Exotic Car Fest, formerly known as Ferraris and Exotics On St. Armands. Participants travel from across the nation to be a part of the event that showcases Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Bugatti Veyrons, and rare luxury cars. Famed Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni will be in attendance for the weekend festivities.

“Since our weekend events encompass a number of local venues, including the Rectrix Aerodrome at the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, The Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club, The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club, the St. Armands Concours exotics car show, and the road rally, the name change was warranted to more accurately depict the reach and impact of all the activities offered,” said Marilee Roberts, who has co-chaired the event with her husband, Gary Roberts, for the last eight years. “The Sarasota Exotics Car Fest generates revenue for area businesses and our community, and it is the main annual fund raising event benefiting The Child Protection Center.”

“The proceeds from this event are used to support our five core programs that provide critical services to the children of our community,” said Hal Hedley, President and CEO of the Child Protection Center.

The 2010 Sarasota Exotic Car Fest will kick-off on Friday, February 12, with a sophisticated jetport reception at the Rectrix Aerodrome Center at the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport. Festivities will include classic imported luxury and exotic cars, sophisticated jets, custom-built motorcycles, a fashion show by Saks Fifth Avenue, elegant gourmet dining by Michael's On East, and a silent auction. A sampling of unique items donated for the auction include a three day, two night holiday in Puerto Rico, a seven night stay for eight people in a private villa in Umbria, Italy, and a BMW track experience for two at their plant in South Carolina. Two tickets to the Super Bowl were donated and auctioned off in advance of the jetport reception to kick-off fund raising efforts.

On Saturday, February 13, the St. Armands Circle Concours will be open to the public and will showcase some of the world's most exclusive exotic and luxury cars. The 2009 show featured over 80 cars and an estimated 3,500 visitors attended the event. In the evening The Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club on Lido Key will host sunset cocktails on the great lawn, followed by a spectacular beachside dinner and live entertainment.

Sunday morning, February 14, begins with a Road Rally of exotic cars and ends with brunch at The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club. The Road Rally is the grand finale to a magnificent weekend of festivities that is a much anticipated annual event for visitors and year round residents. Participation in the Road Rally is not required in order to attend the brunch.
